Well done Alexis. Dogs are often used in Search and Rescue operations because they have a great ability to smell. They can find people buried in the snow. There are dogs that are trained to find kiwis iving in the wild, once they find them they sit beside the hollow but will not attack the kiwis.
ReplyDeleteKeep up your blogs.
Love from Gramma.
Kia ora Alexis,
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy with all of your learning tasks today. I learnt something from your blog post about the scientific name for dogs, canis lupus familiaris. It sounds like 'canine', which makes me wonder if that's why we call them that. Do you have a dog at home? If so, what's their name? I have two dogs and a cat.
Ma te wa,
Miss Hickling
This is really interesting Alexis, I did not know that dogs could slow our heart rates like that
